Cotton- soft all-natural fibre
Cotton is the most widely produced natural fibre on the planet. It comes from the cotton plant and is part of our daily lives from the time we dry our faces on a soft cotton towel in the morning until we slide between fresh cotton sheets at night.
Most of our fabrics for our Rest time sheets are 100% cotton. With cotton you will often get some shrinkage of the fabric when you first wash the sheets. For this reason we recommend that you wash in cold water before use. When we make the sheets we allow for this shrinkage to ensure that the sheets still fit the beds.
Poly-cotton – durable and crease-resistant
Poly- cotton is a made up of cotton and polyester fibres. Poly-cotton is designed to give the advantages of both cotton (softness) and polyester (durability) into one fabric. Having some polyester in your sheets helps make them crease resistant meaning they will always look good even without ironing. For this reason some of our plain fabric is poly cotton. Although for our Rest time sheets they are mainly 100% cotton you can get the bottom sheet made in the poly cotton if you are looking for an easy care option. With our Clinic Cover range we use poly-cotton exclusively. The qualities that the added polyester brings to the fabric, ensures our sheets hold their size and shape even with frequent washing.
We recommend first washing in cold water to ensure that the colour is set.
Flannelette – warm and cosy
Nothing says winter warmer like flannelette sheeting. Crafted from quality cotton, brushed on both sides, our Flannelette Sheet Set has an incredibly soft texture. Ideal for snuggling under during the colder months, this warming fabric is another easy care option.
Polar fleece - warm and light weight
Polar fleece is a soft napped insulating fabric made from polyester. Lightweight, warm and soft, polar fleece has some of wool's good qualities without the weight. Being a polyester fabric makes it easy to wash and dry. Despite its fuzzy appearance and feel, it is not flammable making it an ideal fabric for blankets.
