Southbank Parklands are always a favourite with my children.  There are plenty of free entertainment with numerous parks, playgrounds and BBQ’s.  There are also the pools if you have no sense of feeling and like cold water.  The other attraction these school holidays is Snow4kids, which delivers real snow entertainment.  There attraction does come at a price, so see their website for more information https://snow4kids.com.au/

Pauline Gandel Children ‘s Gallery

Melbourne Museum's children's gallery is designed for very young children from babies to five-year-olds, setting a new standard in early childhood learning. Walk in the shoes of a palaeontologist at the Dinosaur Dig or dance the morning away at the Camouflage Disco, complete with a mirror wall, light projections and unique soundscapes. Tired tots can then rest their weary legs at the ‘nothing nook’ – a quiet space to recharge in between adventures.

Skating @ Mellbourne  22 June – 15 July Crown Riverwalk

The Skating At Festival will glide into Melbourne these winter school holidays offering a unique winter wonderland ice skating experience.  For the first time, a Skating At pop-up ice-skating rink will be located in the city centre at Crown Riverwalk, along the Yarra River.  This affordable family-friendly event is ideal for people of all ages and skill levels with something for everyone on offer. The world-class 40-metre open-air ice rink provides a magical winter precinct with lighting, music, Kanga skating aids and delicious dining options nearby.

Queensland Museum & Science Centre

The Queensland Museum features science, culture & natural history exhibits specific to the Queensland region.  A visit to the dinosaur garden in always on our tour.  The museum is currently running an exhibition called Perception Deception, which challenges how you make sense of your world.

Collingwood Children’s Farm

Bringing the country to the city, the Collingwood Children’s Farm gives urban kids a chance to give farming life a go. You can milk the cows, feed the chooks, ride a pony or play with the baby lambs. A farmer’s market takes place every second Saturday of the month, where you can pick up fresh produce.

Workshop Rail Museum

The Workshops Rail Museum is a railway museum in Ipswich. Every child loves a train so Make a day of it and visit Thomas and the Fat Controller.  Allow 3 hours to see the exhibits and then settle down for a picnic in the gardens.
